How to get Google Chrome on your iPhone or iPad

Google Chrome

Google just released its Chrome browser for iOS today and it is stellar.  It loads much faster than the native Safari browser, it looks really sleek and it syncs up well once you’ve signed into your Google account.  It’s now my (defacto)  default web browser for my iPhone, yet it almost didn’t happen.

For some reason Chrome didn’t show up in the app store on my phone, so I had to download it to iTunes and then sync it to the phone.  Here is the link to the browser in the iTunes store.

I’m sure that this is a temporary glitch, but if you are early adopter and want to download this as soon as possible you can use this work-around.  Also – did I tell you what a fantastic browser it is?

PS – You can’t change your default search settings on your iPhone unless it is jailbroken.  If it is there is a program called “Browser Changer” that will facilitate this only if you have a jailbroken phone.  :)

I aspire to give people something to think about rather than tell them what to do. My favorite Google Alert is “social media research,” I am increasingly compelled by Gen Z, and I appreciate good writers agnostic of where they write. At one time I was Kred’s 12th most influential social media blogger and Klout’s most influential person on the topic of David Hasselhoff. Transplant from Seattle living in Cincinnati. Haven’t entirely adopted the local sports teams yet.
