The coup that Yahoo pulled off last week by hiring Google’s Marissa Mayer (with a compensation package rumored to be in the $70 million range) garnered some positive feedback for Yahoo’s board for the first time in quite awhile. Probably more telling about their disconnect with reality was that the board tasked her with “beating Google and Facebook.” And while the Yahoo board may not understand how those sites have specialized as Yahoo stagnated as an email-driven content-provider, they love to hire CEOs. In fact there are so many ex-Yahoo CEOs that I put together a infographic in case you find yourself out socially with someone purporting to have once run Yahoo and need to identify which CEO you are chatting with.
