Are you addicted to social media?

Contributing Writer

If you didn’t see last week’s episode of “Parks and Recreation,” Aziz Ansari’s character gets in a car accident while tweeting and is sentenced to a week without social networks.  Hilarity ensues.

While his reaction to social exile is over-the-top, I wonder if his reaction resonates with anyone out there?

I aspire to give people something to think about rather than tell them what to do. My favorite Google Alert is “social media research,” I am increasingly compelled by Gen Z, and I appreciate good writers agnostic of where they write. At one time I was Kred’s 12th most influential social media blogger and Klout’s most influential person on the topic of David Hasselhoff. Transplant from Seattle living in Cincinnati. Haven’t entirely adopted the local sports teams yet.

    Hi Jim,

I admit, I’ve been down a road….maybe sans the car accident…although I did experience a motorbike accident here in Bali last week ;)

Gotta pull back at times. Be social. Then be quiet…lol.

Funny vids and important message Jim, thanks for sharing!

I don’t know if I’m addicted, but I am all in when I’m engaged. I also feel like I’m leaving my social media friends without saying goodbye when I’m away for too long. When I take a break, people are like where have you been. Let’s not even talk about how low my Kout score drops. LOL
