Infographic: The benefits of integrating social into email marketing

With the emergence of social media, email marketing seems a little unspectacular. But it’s not. Email is tremendously effective channel especially for repeat sales. Check out Chris Brogan’s website¬†or Social Media Examiner or anyone really and they all want your email (and not your Facebook fanaticism of Twitter follow). Why? Because email increases the likelihood that you will receive any message that they send.

I’m going to give this infographic a pass on one point: $44 ROI should read 44x ROI or $44 for every $1 spent on email marketing. I’ve seen that statistic floating around, and though it substantiates the low cost of using email marketing I don’t think the statistic itself is particularly worthwhile to most businesses. Email is cheap. That said, the mobile statistics and social sharing are spot on.
