I thought this was a rather interesting infographic about how journalists prefer to be contacted and how they research. The statistic that 95% of journalists don’t completely trust social media probably should give pause about how much we (as users) trust social media.
In any event, among other things Vocus manages HARO (Help-A-Reporter-Out) which links relevant sources to reporters via email. So these statistics serve to reinforce the value of those tools as well as the value of relationships with journalists for PR professionals.
Personally I’m a bit disappointed that the two tweets that I got from Liz Heron a couple of years ago won’t get my posts integrated into Facebook Paper. 🙂
